Back in sec sch i studied food and nutrition (fnn). thru fnn i learnt abt Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia. at that point of time we just study lo.. but who noe now i gt to come across with real life cases.. mild case patients can seek SGH for help while the severe case will need to go to IMH..
becos eating disorders are linked to emotional prob.. all are true cases..
our fnn teacher used to tell us that eating disorder cases are rarely seen.. i dun think so ar..
anorexia makes ppl deny themselves food n refuse to eat..
severe anorexia leads to - osteoporosis, damage to heart,liver,kidneys n brain, depression, hair loss n etc..
bulimia makes ppl eat tooooooooo much. they can gorge down 20,000 calories at a time ! but aft that they will induce vomiting or use laxatives to remove food from their body.
bulimia leads to - internal bleeding, dehydrated...
pls dun harm ur precious body.....
